Andy FlowersManager of Real Time Operations & Commercial IT Halliburton Andy Flowers is Manager of Real Time Operations and Commercial IT within Halliburton’s IT division. In this capacity he is responsible for all aspects of digital infrastructure, security remote communications and support related to collection and distribution of real time data from the well site to customers. Mr. Flowers began his career in the oil industry working for a drilling contractor in the North Sea , He joined Halliburton in 1986 as a logging engineer and worked in various operational roles in the North Sea, the Middle East, West Africa and Latin America. In 1992 he joined Halliburton’s technology division in Houston and progressed to manage software and data acquisition system development for various Halliburton business lines in Houston, Dallas and Duncan Oklahoma. Mr. Flowers earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sussex and a Master of Science degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Edinburgh. He is a member of IEEE and SPE and currently serves as the chair of the Digital Engineering New Discipline sub-committee on the SPE Digital Energy Technical Section. |
